Hope of gathering the shreds
Shreds of power that breath life
Short-term madness overules life
Fear rules
Order must rise
The surgeons knife must excise the cancers
Even if wield by a torturer
The meds must restore proper function
Even if prescribed by a quack
Otherwise
It all dies
Truth hides in the strangest places
